Introducing Max & the Magic Marker

Yesterday at 12PM, a lady dressed in red, came to my office and hired me to investigate Max & the Magic Marker. At first I thought that this Max guy was his husband and the magic marker was related to drugs of some sort, but as it turns out Max & the Magic Marker is puzzle platformer game with cool drawing based game mechanics. Here you can see a video clip of it showing the basic game play http://maxandthemagicmarker.com/. The game is produced by: Rune Dittmer, Mikkel Thorsted, Ole Teglbjaerg and Lasse Outzen from Press Play, Copenhagen, Denmark

In the game you play as a young boy who likes to draw and his name is Max. Max receives a mysterious orange marker in the mail, and when he tests it by drawing a monster, the monster becomes alive and starts messing up his drawings, so naturally he feels obligated to stop it and draws himself on the paper and then he finds himself on the drawing and so the story begins. The player controls Max just like in any other good old platformer game, but the signature feature of the game is the ability to draw directly inside the game world, where everything drawn becomes physical objects. You need the drawing feature to beat the puzzles and complete the levels, but it’s also a tool that is just fun to play around with.

I believe Max & the Magic Marker has really good chances on winning, because they have already been very successful with the game, they have received several awards, the game has sold nicely to my knowledge and they have released it to several platforms already. The drawing feature is also very cool J

  1. I just tried the demo version of the game and I have to say it freaking awesome. The other two nominees in the game category have no chance against this masterpiece :)

  2. This game seems to be very original and I would definitely pay money for something like this.

A question I'd like to have answered is this; Even though this game is obviously very innovative and amazing, how did you go go about selling this game to a major corporation like Microsoft?

One more thing I'd like to know about this is who is the sexy bombshell babe dressed in red who hired you for such a dangerous mission. And what are your qualifications? Are you a ninja?
